Golden hour by the water, a cozy breeze in the air, and two people completely in love—Laura & Eastin’s Lakeside Engagements were everything a photographer could hope for. This session at Millican Reserve perfectly captured their joyful connection and laid-back charm, all set against a backdrop of peaceful trails, tall grasses, and a shimmering lake.

Tucked away just outside of College Station, Millican Reserve is one of my favorite hidden gems in the Brazos Valley. It offers a peaceful, natural setting with open fields, forested trails, and quiet lakeside views. It’s ideal for couples who love the outdoors and want their session to feel relaxed and authentic.

Laura and Eastin brought such fun energy to their shoot. From playful twirls by the water to quiet, intimate moments beneath the trees, every part of their session felt genuine. They came ready to laugh, explore, and soak in the beauty of the evening—and that made all the difference. Their chemistry was effortless, and you can see it in every frame.

One of my favorite parts of the session was when the sun began to dip below the horizon, casting that dreamy golden light across the water. Laura’s soft curls lit up in the sun, and Eastin couldn’t take his eyes off her. The reflections on the lake and the soft glow of the evening made for some truly magical portraits.
